1. In the middle of the school is a big playground. 在學(xué)校的中間是一個(gè)大操場(chǎng)。
in the middle of 意為“在……中間”，既可以表示時(shí)間也可以表示地點(diǎn)。
There is a boat in the middle of the river. 在河中央有一條船。
We have lunch in the middle of the day. 中午時(shí)間我們吃午飯。
2. The library is on the left of the playground near the school gate. 圖書館在操場(chǎng)的左邊，靠近學(xué)校大門。
near意為“靠近，接近，在……旁邊。”
There is a bank near here. 這兒附近有家銀行。
【拓展】near做形容詞，意為“近的，不遠(yuǎn)的，接近的”，反義詞為far“遠(yuǎn)的”。
She is near to me but the cat is far from me. 她離我很近，但是那只貓離我很遠(yuǎn)。
3. Between this building and the dining hall is the classroom building with twenty-four classrooms. 在這幢樓和食堂之間是教學(xué)樓，里面有24間教室。
with 意為“與……在一起，和，具有（某些品質(zhì)、特征）”。當(dāng)主語后有with, together with時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞與with前面主語的單復(fù)數(shù)保持一致。
