等詞在英文中被稱為“頻度副詞”,是用來表示動(dòng)作頻率的,即在一定的時(shí)間內(nèi)動(dòng)作重復(fù)發(fā)生或狀態(tài)重復(fù)出現(xiàn)的次數(shù).
一般說來可按頻率大小排列
always、usually、often、sometimes、seldom(很少)、never(從不)
always (100%) usually (80%) often (30%—50%)
sometimes (20%) hardly ever (5%) never (0%)
often, always, usually等通常用在一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)中,表示現(xiàn)在經(jīng)�；蚍磸�(fù)發(fā)生的動(dòng)作.
例如:
It often rains here in April. 這兒四月份常下雨.
always 意為“總是,一直”,它所表示的頻度最高,相當(dāng)于 all the time.
usually意為“通常”,在一般情況下做某事很少有例外的意思,傾向于一種習(xí)慣.
often 意為“經(jīng)常”,它表示的頻度不及usually,用來表示動(dòng)作重復(fù),中間有間斷.
sometimes 意為“有時(shí)”,它所表示的頻度在以上這幾個(gè)詞中最低,它可以放在句子中間,也可以放在句首或句末.
