this 是指示代詞,通常指離說(shuō)話者較近的事物。與之對(duì)應(yīng)的指示代詞是that。指離說(shuō)話者較遠(yuǎn)的事物。

his是he的形容詞性物主代詞(所有格),后面可以跟名詞。例如:
His book is on the desk. 他的書(shū)在桌上。

那邊的那位男士是誰(shuí)?
over there意為“在那里”,在本句中做后置定語(yǔ)修飾the man。

和瓊斯先生在一起的女孩是誰(shuí)?
with Mr. Jones做后置定語(yǔ)修飾the girl。with意為“和......一起”。
