Today is my grandma's birthday.
今天是我奶奶的生日。
該句的結(jié)構(gòu)是“主語(時間)＋系動詞be＋表語”。
當表示時間的名詞如today，tomorrow(明天)或
tonight(今天晚上)作主語時，可以用it來替換。
eg：Today is my son's birthday.＝It is my son's
birthday today.今天是我兒子的生日。
birthday可以作定語修飾另一個名詞，不必用所有格形式。
eg：a birthday cake一個生日蛋糕
a birthday party 一個生日聚會
birthday presents生日禮物

set/set/v.擺放(餐具)；放置；落下。 set 的現(xiàn)在分詞為setting。
set the table意為“擺放餐具” 。
eg：Please set the chair in the corner.
請把椅子放在角落里。

句中有兩個and，均為并列連詞。第一個and連接幾個并列的名詞作主語，因此句子的謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。第二個and連接兩個動詞的現(xiàn)在分詞形式。
