1．She is teaching English in China.
teach是動(dòng)詞，意為“教，講授”。其過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞均為taught，其名詞為teacher(老師)。
常用短語(yǔ)：teach sb.sth.＝teach sth.to sb.教授某人某事物；teach oneself ＝learn sth.by oneself自學(xué)……；teach sb.a lesson給某人一個(gè)教訓(xùn)；teach sb.to do sth.教某人做某事。
如：Mr Smith teaches us English.史密斯先生教我們英語(yǔ)。
2．I was quite nervous then.
(1)【辨析】quite與very
二者都是副詞，都含有“很，非常”之意。區(qū)別如下：
①quite的程度小于very；quite可直接修飾動(dòng)詞，而very則不能。如：Now she quite enjoys her job.現(xiàn)在她很喜歡自己的工作。
②quite可以修飾沒(méi)有等級(jí)之分的形容詞，如perfect(完美的)、impossible(不可能的)、right(正確的)、sure(確信的)、ready(準(zhǔn)備好的)等等，而這些詞不可以用very來(lái)修飾。quite在修飾此類(lèi)形容詞時(shí)，意為“完全，絕對(duì)”。如： It's quite impossible to finish the job in such a short time.在這么短的時(shí)間內(nèi)完成這項(xiàng)工作是絕不可能的。
③quite用于修飾名詞時(shí)，常用“quite＋限定詞(＋adj.)＋名詞”結(jié)構(gòu)，當(dāng)名詞前有形容詞時(shí)，相當(dāng)于“限定詞＋very＋adj.＋名詞”。如：He is quite a good student.＝He is a very good student.他是個(gè)非常不錯(cuò)的學(xué)生。
④quite可修飾介詞短語(yǔ)，very則不能。但是very可以直接修飾名詞，意為“正是，就是”，表強(qiáng)調(diào)。
如：I am now quite out of money.我現(xiàn)在完全沒(méi)有錢(qián)了。This is the very book that I look for.這正是我尋找的那本書(shū)。
