1.Now it's Steven's turn to speak.
It is one's turn to do sth.意為“輪到某人做某事”,one's可以換成形容詞性物主代詞。其中turn是名詞,意為“輪班,輪流”,而it是形式主語,真正的主語是后面的動(dòng)詞不定式。
如:It's my turn to clean the blackboard.
輪到我擦黑板了。
2. Later, we had a picnic near the lake.
have a picnic意為“進(jìn)行野餐”,have在此處為實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,相當(dāng)于take,而該短語相當(dāng)于go for a picnic。have作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞還可以和其他名詞構(gòu)成短語,如:
have a meeting 開會(huì) have a class 上課
have a talk 談一談
have a rest=take a break 休息
3. After lunch, we fed the geese.
(1)feed是動(dòng)詞,意為“喂養(yǎng)”。其過去式和過去分詞均為fed。常用短語:feed on 以……為食;feed sth.to...=feed...on sth. 用某物喂養(yǎng)……
如:The people in this area feed on corn.
這個(gè)地區(qū)的人們以玉米為食。
(2)geese是可數(shù)名詞goose的復(fù)數(shù)形式,意為“鵝”。
如:He feeds some geese on the farm.
他在農(nóng)場上養(yǎng)了一些鵝。
