one ..., the other ... 為常用句型，意為“一個(gè)……，另一個(gè)……”，往往在介紹兩者時(shí)使用。
eg: I have two sisters. One is six, the other is nine.
我有兩個(gè)妹妹。一個(gè)六歲，另一個(gè)九歲。
詞語辨析：other, the other , others, another 與 the others
other 泛指“另外的”，常與可數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞連用。

others泛指“別的人或物”，相當(dāng)于：other+復(fù)數(shù)名詞。
Some students are in the classroom, others are outside on the playground.

The other+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞指“兩個(gè)其中的一個(gè)”,常用于 one… the other…”結(jié)構(gòu).

The others表示所有人或物，相當(dāng)于“the other+復(fù)數(shù)名詞。
