miss /mɪs/ vt. 錯過，沒趕上；思念
miss意為“錯過，沒趕上”，后跟名詞、代詞或動名詞作賓語，即miss sth.或miss doing sth.。
eg：He missed the early bus.
他沒趕上早班公共汽車。
miss還意為“想念”。
eg：She missed us very much.
她非常想念我們。
知識點2
since /sɪns/ prep.自……以后；從……以來
conj.因為；由于；既然；自……以來
since作連詞引導時間狀語從句，主句常用完成時態(tài)，從句中的動詞一般是短暫性動詞，常用一般過去時態(tài)。
eg：Mary hasn't phoned since she went to Beijing.
瑪麗自從去了北京還沒有打來過電話。
since作介詞，跟過去的某一時間點連用，如具體的年、月、日或鐘點等。
eg：They have been here since October.
自從10月以來，他們一直在這里。
since意為“既然”，引導原因狀語從句。
