1.Krista, his friend, noticed him looking sad.
他的朋友，Krista，注意到他看上去很傷心。
notice sb. do/doing sth.注意到某人做/正在做某事
例子：I noticed her looking at me when I turned around.
我轉(zhuǎn)過身的時(shí)候注意到她正看著我。
2. He worked very hard, both by himself and with Krista. 無論獨(dú)自一人時(shí)還是和克里斯塔時(shí)，他學(xué)習(xí)都非常努力。
(1)by oneself意為“單獨(dú)地，靠自己地(alone or independently)”。如：
例子：All his friends have deserted him and he is all by himself now. 他所有的朋友都離棄他了，現(xiàn)在他孤獨(dú)一人。
(2)both 用作形容詞，意思是 “二者的，雙方的” 作。還可作代詞，意思是 “二者都” 位于行為動(dòng)詞前，be動(dòng)詞后。
例子：His parents are both teachers and they both work hard.
他的父母都是老師，他們工作都很努力。
3. It’s all because of your help!
這都是由于你的幫助！
because of是復(fù)合介詞，其后接名詞、帶刺、動(dòng)名詞等；because是連詞，其后接句子。如：
例子：I didn’t buy it because it was too expensive.
我沒有買是因?yàn)樗F了。
He is here because of you.
他為你而來了這里。
