1.On my way to the hall just now,I stopped by some of your classrooms and read the notes you left for one another.
◆on one’s way to… 意為“在某人去……的路上”,one’s需與主語(yǔ)保持人稱(chēng)上的一致。如果地點(diǎn)是副詞,to應(yīng)省略。該詞組常位于句首、句尾作狀語(yǔ),或位于be動(dòng)詞后作表語(yǔ)。
◆stop by意為“順路造訪,過(guò)去坐坐”。
◆leave在此為及物動(dòng)詞,意為“留下”。
2.All of you have some great memories of this period of your life,and so do I!
◆period為名詞,意為“時(shí)期;一段時(shí)間;節(jié);學(xué)時(shí)”。
◆so do I意為“我也是”,為倒裝句。其中so代替上文提到的情況,為“so
+be/情態(tài)動(dòng)詞/助動(dòng)詞+主語(yǔ)”結(jié)構(gòu),是表示肯定的倒裝句式。其中be動(dòng)詞、助動(dòng)詞或情態(tài)動(dòng)詞在時(shí)態(tài)上與前句保持一致,在數(shù)上與其后的主語(yǔ)一致,指前者所述的情況同樣適用于后者。

(2)“so+主語(yǔ)+be動(dòng)詞/助動(dòng)詞/情態(tài)動(dòng)詞”用來(lái)加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣,表示贊同,意為“的確如此”。

go by在本句中意為“(時(shí)間)過(guò)去;逝去”。

ahead of意為“(時(shí)間、空間)在……前面”。

◆whatever引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句,相當(dāng)于no matter what。
◆動(dòng)詞不定式短語(yǔ)to achieve it在句中作目的狀語(yǔ),說(shuō)明努力學(xué)習(xí)的目的。動(dòng)詞不定式短語(yǔ)作目的狀語(yǔ)時(shí),可以放在句首,也可以放在句末。
◆achieve在此處為及物動(dòng)詞，意為“做成;達(dá)成;獲得”。
