二、主要用法精講
1.動(dòng)詞不定式作定語(yǔ)
(1)動(dòng)詞不定式作定語(yǔ)常用來(lái)修飾名詞或不定代詞，放于所修飾的詞后，為后置定語(yǔ)。
There is nothing to worry about.沒(méi)什么可擔(dān)心的。
The best way to raise money is to sell newspapers.
籌集資金最好的方式是賣(mài)報(bào)紙。
(2)如果不定式動(dòng)詞與被修飾詞之間有邏輯上的動(dòng)賓關(guān)系，并且該動(dòng)詞是不及物動(dòng)詞，則需要加上適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~或副詞使動(dòng)賓關(guān)系成立。
When you move somewhere new，the first thing for you is to find a place to live in.
當(dāng)你搬到一個(gè)新的地方時(shí)，首先要找一個(gè)住處。
2.動(dòng)詞不定式作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)
(1)動(dòng)詞不定式表示結(jié)果時(shí)，其邏輯主語(yǔ)就是句子的主語(yǔ)。結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)常常只限于learn(得知)，find(發(fā)現(xiàn))，see，hear，to be told(被告知)，make(使得)等具有界限含義的動(dòng)詞。
He returned home to learn his daughter had just been engaged.
他回家后得知女兒剛剛訂婚了。
Dinosaurs have completely died out on the earth，never to be seen again.
恐龍已經(jīng)從地球上滅絕，將永不再被看到。
He left his home，never to be heard from again.他離開(kāi)了家，從此音信全無(wú)。
(2)動(dòng)詞不定式作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)的特殊結(jié)構(gòu)
①only to do結(jié)構(gòu)表示意外的結(jié)果
He hurried to the station，only to find the train had left.
他匆匆忙忙趕到車(chē)站，結(jié)果卻發(fā)現(xiàn)火車(chē)已經(jīng)離開(kāi)了。
He worked hard，only to fail at last.他努力工作，最終結(jié)果卻是失敗。
②too...to...結(jié)構(gòu)
The case was too heavy to be carried by a child.箱子太重小孩拿不動(dòng)。
③so as to do結(jié)構(gòu)
He shut himself in the room so as not to be disturbed.他把自己關(guān)在屋里以免受到打擾。
④enough to do結(jié)構(gòu)
The girl is not old enough to go to school.這個(gè)女孩不夠大，不能上學(xué)。
動(dòng)詞不定式為非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。在英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法中，動(dòng)詞不定式是指動(dòng)詞中的一種不帶詞形變化從而不指示人稱(chēng)、數(shù)量、時(shí)態(tài)的一種形式。它之所以被稱(chēng)做不定式，是因?yàn)閯?dòng)詞不被限定，或者說(shuō)不被詞形變化所局限。
