構(gòu)成規(guī)律：規(guī)則變化
單音節(jié)詞和部分雙音節(jié)詞
一般加 –est ， 如：
strong—strongest，fast—fastest
以不發(fā)音的e結(jié)尾， 加-st
nice—nicest, large- largest
以輔音加y結(jié)尾, 改y為i, 加-est
happy — happiest
輔音字母結(jié)尾的重讀閉音節(jié)詞，雙寫(xiě)末尾的輔音字母，加-est, thin — thinnest
多音節(jié)詞， 和部分雙音節(jié)詞， 在詞的前面加most
outgoing — most outgoing
形容詞最高級(jí)的用法
1. 形容詞的最高級(jí)前一般要加定冠詞the，但如果其前有形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格等修飾語(yǔ)時(shí)，則不再用定冠詞the。如：
This is the oldest theater in London.
He is my / Tom’s best friend.
2. 形容詞的最高級(jí)常與介詞in或of短語(yǔ)連用，說(shuō)明比較范圍。一般情況下，如果主語(yǔ)與介詞短語(yǔ)中的名詞屬于同一類，用介詞of；如果不是同一類，則用介詞in。如：
He is the tallest of these boys.
Sam is the youngest in his class.
3. 形容詞的最高級(jí)前可用序數(shù)詞，二者共同修飾后面的名詞，其結(jié)構(gòu)為“the +序數(shù)詞 + 形容詞的最高級(jí) + 名詞”。如：
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
