一、情態(tài)動(dòng)詞may的用法
1. 用情態(tài)動(dòng)詞may 表示肯定推測(cè)，譯為“可能，也許”，通常只用于肯定句與否定句中，相當(dāng)于perhaps, possibly 或maybe。
may not :可能不，表示否定推測(cè)
eg：The news may or may not be true.
這消息也許是真的，也許不是真的.
2. may 除了可以表示推測(cè)，還可以表示請(qǐng)求，許可，允許，通常用于疑問(wèn)句中。
eg：—May I go now? 我現(xiàn)在可以走了嗎？
—Yes, you can. / No, you can't.
回答時(shí)不可用may, might,或could及其否定形式
3. 表示必須，必要。must 和have to
在陳述句中，must強(qiáng)調(diào)說(shuō)話者的主觀想法， have to強(qiáng)調(diào)客觀需要，意為“不得不”。
在疑問(wèn)句中，回答must引出的問(wèn)句時(shí)，肯定回答用must, 否定回答可以用needn't或don't have to(不必)，一定不能使用mustn't(禁止，不準(zhǔn))。
eg：—Must I finish my homework now ?
我現(xiàn)在一定要完成作業(yè)嗎？
—Yes, you must. / No, you needn't/don't have to.
是的，一定要。/不，沒(méi)必要。
二、動(dòng)詞不定式結(jié)構(gòu)
1. eg：Linda wanted to visit the park.
Sandy needs to go with them.
Millie decided to stay at home.
上面例子中主要行為動(dòng)詞后面的動(dòng)詞都采用了“to ＋ 動(dòng)詞原形”的結(jié)構(gòu)，我們把這種結(jié)構(gòu)稱(chēng)為動(dòng)詞不定式(有時(shí)可以不帶to)。動(dòng)詞不定式?jīng)]有人稱(chēng)和數(shù)的變化，在句子中不能單獨(dú)作謂語(yǔ)。
2. 也有一些動(dòng)詞后面可以跟動(dòng)名詞結(jié)構(gòu)doing sth. , 但是 意義不同。
forget to do sth. 忘記去做某事(事情未做)
eg：Don't forget to lock the door when you go out.
當(dāng)你出去時(shí)別忘了鎖門(mén)。
forget doing sth. 忘記做過(guò)某事(事情已做)
eg：I forgot washing hands and washed again.
我忘了已經(jīng)洗過(guò)手了，又洗了一遍。
