[觀察] My mother bought me two pairs of shoes.

2 a little bit stressed 有點兒緊張
[觀察] I think the woman must feel a little bit stressed.
我認(rèn)為這位女士肯定感覺有點兒緊張。
[探究] a little bit 后接形容詞或副詞時，等同于 a little或a bit。
[辨析] a bit與a little
(1)a bit/a little意為“一點兒”；在肯定句中，修飾動詞、形容詞或副詞原級及形容詞或副詞比較級時可以互換。
Her mother feels a bit/a little better today.
她母親今天感覺好一些了。
(2)a bit和a little分別與not連用時，含義不同。
not a bit意為“毫不，一點兒也不”，相當(dāng)于not at all；
not a little意為“非常，相當(dāng)，極其”，相當(dāng)于very much或quite。
I'm not a bit tired.我一點兒也不累。
I'm not a little tired. 我很累。
(3)a little可以直接作定語修飾名詞，而a bit則要在后面加
of才能作定語，兩者都只能修飾不可數(shù)名詞。
I need a bit of/a little water to take the medicine.
我需要一點兒水來吃藥。
