[探究] complain 用作不及物動(dòng)詞，意為“抱怨；埋怨；投訴；發(fā)牢騷”。complain about sth 意為“抱怨某事”；complain to sb 意為“向某人抱怨”；complain about sth to sb 意為“向某人抱怨某事”。complain 后面也可接賓語(yǔ)從句。

[探究] whatever 作代詞，意為“任何，一切事物”，既可以引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句，也可以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞要用單數(shù)形式；引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，相當(dāng)于no matter what。
