He made away not only with his own money,but also with much of his wife’s.

【句式拓展】
(1)可連接兩個(gè)并列的句子。若not only位于句首時(shí), not only后面的句子要用部分倒裝。
(2)若連接的兩個(gè)成分作主語(yǔ),其謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞通常與鄰近的主語(yǔ)保持一致。
Not only does he speak English correctly,but he also speaks it fluently.
他不僅英語(yǔ)說(shuō)得正確,而且說(shuō)得很流利。
Not only the students but also their teacher likes playing football.
不僅學(xué)生還有他們的老師都喜歡踢足球。
