指示代詞的用法
this，these，that，those 稱為 指示代詞, 用來指示或標(biāo)示人或事物，其中, this和that為單數(shù), these和those 為復(fù)數(shù)。另外, this和these用來指離自己較近的人或物, that和those 用來指離自己較遠(yuǎn)的人或物。
當(dāng)指示代詞所指的事物已確定時(shí)，后面的指示代詞指人時(shí)用he, she, they來代替，指物時(shí)用it和they來代替。
如： --- Is this your book?
--- Yes, it is.
--- Are these your uncles?
--- No, they aren’t.
Language points
1. on the left 在左邊，on the right 在右邊，是表示方位的介詞短語，不僅可以用來描述人物之間的位置關(guān)系，還可用來描述事物之間的位置關(guān)系。
例：My bed is on the right, and his is on the left.
2. in front of 在……(范圍之外的)前面
in the front of 在……(范圍之內(nèi)的)前面
例：My teacher is in front of the classroom.
(說明老師在教室的外面）
My teacher is in the front of the classroom.
(說明老師在教室的里面）
3. next to 是介詞短語，“緊挨著，緊靠著”。
例：The old man next to my sister is mygrandfather.
我妹妹旁邊的老人是我的祖父。
The girl next to me is my best friend.
我旁邊那個(gè)女孩是我最要好的朋友。
