【拓展】fail還可用作不及物動(dòng)詞，意為“失敗”，反義詞是succeed，意為“成功”。
eg：Their car failed to climb the high mountain.他們的小汽車(chē)沒(méi)能爬上那座高山。

eg：You should get into the habit of planning your work at the beginning of each week.你應(yīng)當(dāng)養(yǎng)成每周一開(kāi)始就安排好工作的習(xí)慣。
③as soon as... 一······就······
eg：The students became quiet as soon as the teacher came in.老師一進(jìn)來(lái)，學(xué)生們就安靜了下來(lái)。
