Language points
1. in a hurry 匆匆忙忙
She went to the school in a hurry. 她匆匆忙忙地去學(xué)校了。
Don’t be in a hurry. 不要著急。
2. They leave things on planes, on trains, on buses and taxis. 他們把東西落在飛機(jī)、火車、公交車和出租車上。
leave 這里表示“落下，遺忘”，它還有很多其他的含義：
1) 表示“離開”，例如：
Nancy wants to be a doctor when she leaves school. 南希畢業(yè)后想當(dāng)一名醫(yī)生。
2) 表示“把（某人或某物）留在（某處）”，例如：
I often leave the kids with Susan.
我經(jīng)常把孩子們留給蘇珊（照顧）。
3) 表示“留到，留待”，例如：
Leave it another week, then tell he’ll have to decide. 把此事再放一周，到時(shí)告訴他必須做出決定。
4) leave 還可以用作名詞，表示“假期，休假”，例如：
I have to ask for three day’s leave. 我得請(qǐng)三天假。
3.two hundred cows 兩百頭奶牛
當(dāng) hundred 與 of 連用時(shí)，它后邊的名詞和它本身都用復(fù)數(shù)，
例如： hundreds of cows 幾百頭奶牛
4.that’s why 表示“是……的原因”，常用于句首，后面跟的是結(jié)果。如：We make a plan for this year. That’s why we work hard every day.
我們?yōu)榻衲曛贫擞?jì)劃，這就是我們每天努力工作的原因。
5.辨析look for 與 find
Look for意為“尋找”，只有目的的找，強(qiáng)調(diào)“尋找”這一動(dòng)作。
What are you looking for?你在找什么？
Find 意為“發(fā)現(xiàn)，找到”，強(qiáng)調(diào)找的結(jié)果，其賓語是某個(gè)東西。I can’t find my bag.
