一般過去時的被動語態(tài)
Liu was encouraged at first to train for the high jump.
Liu Xiang’s ability in hurdling was noticed by Sun Haiping.
我們知道,被動語態(tài)的動詞形式為“be+動詞的過去分詞”,其中be為助動詞,根據(jù)不同的人稱和時態(tài)有形式的變化。因此,一般過去時的被動語態(tài)肯定句的結(jié)構(gòu)為:
主語+was/were+動詞過去分詞(+by+動作執(zhí)行者)
一般過去時被動語態(tài)的各類句式與一般現(xiàn)在時被動語態(tài)的各類句式類似,你可以嘗試總結(jié)嗎?
否定句:主語+was/were+not+動詞的過去分詞(+by+動作執(zhí)行者)
e.g.The window was not broken by Tom.
一般疑問句:Was/Were+主語+動詞的過去分詞(+by+動作執(zhí)行者)
e.g. Was the room cleaned by Tom?
特殊疑問句:特殊疑問詞+was/were+主語+動詞的過去分詞(+by+動作執(zhí)行者)
e.g. When was the book published?
前面我們總結(jié)了一般過去時被動語態(tài)的各類句式,那么encourage sb. to do sth, allow sb. to do sth.等不定式作賓語補足語的結(jié)構(gòu)在被動語態(tài)中如何處理呢?我們來對比一下其主動語態(tài)與被動語態(tài)的形式:
The school encouraged Liu Xiang to train for the high jump.
Liu Xiang was encouraged (by the school) to train for the high jump.
可以看出,被動語態(tài)的句子是把主動語態(tài)中的賓語提到了主語的位置,賓語補足語的位置不變。應(yīng)該注意,這樣的句子往往不會提到動作的執(zhí)行者。這正是被動語態(tài)的特點:被動語態(tài)強調(diào)動作承受者,而不強調(diào)動作執(zhí)行者。
