Yes, but people are throwing litter into the river.
litter和rubbish都可指“垃圾”，用作不可數(shù)名詞。
litter指“（室內(nèi)或公共場所）亂扔的廢物（紙屑、不要的包裝紙、廢瓶等）”還可回收。
rubbish指“沒用的東西（被扔或?qū)⒁獊G棄的無用的東西）”不可回收。

e.g. A good diet plays a large part in helping people live longer.

5. It’s good for health and it doesn’t cost anything!
