過去進行時表示過去某一時刻或某段時間正在進行的動作。過去進行時由"was / were + 動詞-ing形式"構成。
1. 過去進行時的各種句式:
肯定句: 主語+ was / were + 動詞-ing形式。如:

否定句:主語+ was / were + not + 動詞-ing形式。如：

2. 過去進行時的用法基本用法:
(1)表示過去某一時刻或某一段時間內正在進行的動作, 常與時間狀語at that time, at that moment, at this time yesterday, at ten o’clock yesterday等連用。如：

(2)表示在過去一段時間內持續(xù)進行的動作(有時也可以有間歇)。如：
