過去時(shí)態(tài)的特殊疑問句同一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)中的一樣，都需要借助助動(dòng)詞，所不同的是在過去時(shí)態(tài)里，助動(dòng)詞只有did。它沒有人稱和數(shù)的變化，而—般現(xiàn)在時(shí)要根據(jù)人稱和數(shù)的變化合理使用do或does。一般疑問句也需要在主語前加助動(dòng)詞did，如：
Did she go to school? Did you watch the show ?
否定句直接在did后加not，也可以用其的縮寫形式didn’t，如：
My mother didn’t wash the clothes yesterday.
We didn’t water the plants.
