一、情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can的用法
1．表示能力，意為“能，會(huì)”。
例：Can you drive？你會(huì)開車嗎？
2．表示客觀可能性，意為“會(huì)，可能”。
例：He can be very friendly at times.有時(shí)他會(huì)很友好。
3．表示請(qǐng)求允許(和may意思相近)，意為“可以，能夠”。
例：Can I use your pen？我可以用你的鋼筆嗎？
4．表示驚異、不相信等(用于疑問句或否定句中)，意為“會(huì)，可能”。其否定形式can't意為“不可能”。
例：This can't be true. 這不可能是真的。
二、反身代詞的用法
（一）反身代詞是一種表示反射或強(qiáng)調(diào)的代詞，意為“……自己”。反身代詞與它所指代的名詞或代詞形 成互指關(guān)系，在人稱、性質(zhì)、數(shù)上應(yīng)保持一致。

1. Can I speak to Jenny, please?
“Can I speak to..., please？”是電話用語，意思是“請(qǐng)找……接電話，好嗎？”。其中can 可以用may、could等替換�；卮鸫司淇捎� “This is...speaking. /Speaking, please.”，意思是 “我就是……”；也可用“Hold on, please./ Wait a moment, please.”，意思是“等一等，別掛斷”，或者用“Sorry, ...isn't in.”，意思是“對(duì)不起，……不在”。
2. Could you speak more loudly？
loudly作副詞，意為“高聲地；大聲地；吵鬧地”。more loudly 是loudly的比較級(jí)。
【辨析】loudly、aloud與loud
三者都可以表示“大聲地”，但在用法上有區(qū)別。
① loudly 意為“響亮地”，其基本意義與 loud 相同，常與 ring、knock等動(dòng)詞連用。loudly 放在動(dòng)詞前后均可，暗含有“喧鬧”或“嘈雜”的意味。例:Suddenly the bell on the wall rang loudly.突然，墻上的鈴大聲地響起來。
②aloud 強(qiáng)調(diào)發(fā)出的聲音能被聽見，意思是“出聲地，大聲地”，常與read、call等動(dòng)詞連用。例：Please read the text aloud. 請(qǐng)大聲朗讀課文。
③loud 意為“響亮地，大聲地，高聲地”，側(cè)重于發(fā)出的聲音大、傳得遠(yuǎn)，一般多用來修飾 speak、talk、laugh等動(dòng)詞。例：Speak louder, please, or no one will hear you.請(qǐng)大聲些，否則沒人能聽見你說話。
3. Now I understand.
understand在此處作不及物動(dòng)詞,意為“明白，理解，懂得”，不能用于進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)。它還可作及物動(dòng)詞，其后可接名詞、代詞以及“疑問詞＋從句/to do”作賓語。
例：I think you will understand at last.
我想你最終會(huì)明白的。
