fail /feɪl/ n.&v.不及格；失敗
表示在某一方面失敗，通常用介詞in。
eg：He failed in business.他經(jīng)商失敗了。
fail 后接不定式，意為“不能；沒(méi)有；未做”。
eg：He failed to get a job in the big company.
他沒(méi)有在那個(gè)大公司獲得工作。
She failed to keep the appointment.

notice /'nəʊtɪs/ v. & n. 注意到，注意；通知
notice 作動(dòng)詞，可用于：
notice sth.注意到某物
notice sb.do sth.注意到某人做某事

notice ＋that 從句
eg：Did you notice my new bag?

Have you noticed her change the water for the goldfish?

notice 還可作名詞，意為“通知；注意”，

知識(shí)點(diǎn)3
how to spell是帶有特殊疑問(wèn)詞的不定式短語(yǔ)，在句中作learn的賓語(yǔ)。
“疑問(wèn)詞＋不定式”結(jié)構(gòu)在句中的作用相當(dāng)于一個(gè)名詞短語(yǔ)，可以作主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)和表語(yǔ)。
