abroad 副詞，意為“在國外，到國外”，其反義詞是at home。
be abroad“出國”，相當(dāng)于go abroad。如：

population 人口，為集合名詞，常被看作一個整體，無復(fù)數(shù)形式。謂語動詞用單數(shù)。表示某國某城市有多少人口時，一般說has a population of ... 或者the population of … is …
e.g. The town has a population of 20000. = The population of the town is 20000.
