at the end of的意思是“在……末（端）”。
e.g. The great man died at the end of 1942.
那位偉人1942年末去世。
I saw an old friend at the end of the room.
我看到在房間的盡頭有位老朋友。
注意：in the end后不接of短語。
in the end與at the end of
in the end意為“最后；終于”，相當(dāng)于finally，常常獨(dú)立地作狀語。
at the end of意為“在……盡頭；在……末尾”。
【運(yùn)用】
根據(jù)句意，選用in the end或at the end of填空。
(1) I’ll wait for you _____________ the street.

2. We each took a cookie and ate it.

each在本句中作we的同位語，此時(shí)謂語動(dòng)詞要根據(jù)we用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
