I. 用法：
1. 形容詞性物主代詞用來(lái)修飾名詞，起形容詞的作用，不能單獨(dú)使用。 如：
My parents are both teachers.
我的父母都是老師。
2. 名詞性物主代詞可以單獨(dú)使用，相當(dāng)于“形容詞性物主代詞+名詞”，后面不跟名詞。如：
May I use your ruler? I have lost mine.
=May I use your ruler? I have lost my ruler.
另外，名詞性物主代詞還可以用在“n. + of + 名詞性物主代詞”結(jié)構(gòu)中，表示“某人的 …”。如：
The shoes of hers are very nice.
她的鞋子很漂亮。
II. 所作成分：
1. 形容詞性物主代詞只能作定語(yǔ)。如：
There is something wrong with his computer.
他的電腦出問(wèn)題了�！�
They love their work in the shop.
他們喜歡在商店的工作。
2. 名詞性物主代詞可以作主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)和表語(yǔ)。如：
Your book is interesting, but mine is more interesting.(作主語(yǔ))
你的書(shū)很有趣，但是我的更有趣。
These letters are his.(作表語(yǔ))
這些是他的信。
I lost my pen this morning. May I borrow yours?(作賓語(yǔ))
