Words(四會(huì)單詞): page pilot  fear  height    model

          (一會(huì)單詞):yearbook  airplane  overcome 

Phrases(有用短語(yǔ)):a fear of heights;stop sb from doing sth ; take steps to do sth

Grammar(語(yǔ)法):1.情態(tài)動(dòng)詞  might ,would的用法

1.What will I be when I grow up?

句中when引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句,遵從主將從現(xiàn)原則,after、before與when的用法相同。

I will go to see her when she comes back.當(dāng)她回來(lái)的時(shí)候,我就去看她。

當(dāng)主句用過(guò)去時(shí),從句也用相 應(yīng)的過(guò)去時(shí)。

Before I went to work, I drank another cup of tea.在我上班之前,我又喝了一杯茶。

2. Maybe I’ll be an airplane pilot.

maybe 副詞,意為“可能”、“也許”,通常用于句首;may be 是情態(tài)動(dòng)詞“may”加動(dòng)詞“be”,意為“可能是”、“可能在”,用于主語(yǔ)后做謂語(yǔ)。(有時(shí)可轉(zhuǎn)換)

Maybe you are right./You may be right.你也許是對(duì)的。

3. I can take small steps to overcome my fear.

step意為“措施,腳步”

Have you found a step to stop him playing computer games?

你找到阻止他玩電腦游戲的措施了嗎? 

take steps to do sth. 采取措施做某事

step by step一步步地,逐步地

You should overcome your difficulty step by step.

你應(yīng)該逐步地克服你的困難。

句中的might和would都是情態(tài)動(dòng)詞,表示可能性,一種意愿。

I would fly to England to see my friends this summer.

我想今年暑假飛到英國(guó)去看我的朋友。

他將來(lái)可能會(huì)是一名飛行員。
