for fun意為“為了娛樂”，fun表示“娛樂，樂趣”，是不可數(shù)名詞。
for 表示目的，后邊常接名詞，可以和表示目的的不定式互換。

表示“經(jīng)歷”時，是可數(shù)名詞；表示“經(jīng)驗”時是不可數(shù)名詞。
eg：teaching experience 教學(xué)經(jīng)驗

(1)a fear of heights表示“恐高”。
(2)stop sb. from doing 意思是“阻止某人以免……”。
