n. 經(jīng)歷；體驗(yàn)
experience作及物動(dòng)詞，其后可跟名詞、動(dòng)名詞、代詞作賓語。
I experienced many things on the trip.
我在旅途中經(jīng)歷了許多事情。
考向二【易錯(cuò)點(diǎn)】experience作“經(jīng)驗(yàn)”講時(shí)，是不可數(shù)名詞；作“(一次)經(jīng)歷”講時(shí)，是可數(shù)名詞。
eg：He has gained much experience of teaching.
他已經(jīng)獲得了許多教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

height /haɪt/ n. 高度；身高
eg：We don't know the height of that building.

height的形容詞為high，意為“高的”，可作表語和定語。

辨析high與tall
不同點(diǎn)：
(1)指人、動(dòng)物或樹木的高度時(shí)，用tall而不用high；
(2)當(dāng)指一個(gè)不與地面接觸的人或物離地面的高度時(shí)要用high，而不用tall；
eg：The cat is high up in the tree.
那只貓高高地趴在樹上。
(3)tall的反義詞是short, high的反義詞是low；
