1. When we began these lessons, all I knew was that movies and plays are fun to watch.
開始上這些課程時(shí)，我所知道的一切就是看電影和戲劇是有趣的事。
1) when引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句；I knew是
all的定語從句，省略了引導(dǎo)詞that;
that movies and plays are fun to watch是表語從句。
fun用作形容詞，意為“有趣的；使人快樂的”。它可以修飾名詞作定語，也可以作表語。
e.g. Gina is a fun girl.
吉娜是個(gè)有趣的女孩。
fun用作名詞時(shí)，是不可數(shù)名詞，意為“快樂；樂趣”。 have fun意為“過得愉快”。
e.g. I play soccer for fun. 我為樂趣而踢足球。
We have fun at the party (聚會).

2. It can take hundreds of people to make a movie or put on a play.

1. 時(shí)間狀語從句
在句子中作時(shí)間狀語的從句叫作時(shí)間狀語從句。一般情況下，時(shí)間狀語從句可以位于主句之前或主句之后，位于主句之前時(shí)，通常用逗號與主句分開。引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句的從屬連詞有很多，現(xiàn)將它們的用法作一詳細(xì)介紹：
(1) when和while
when引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句時(shí)表示“當(dāng)……的時(shí)候”，它既可以指時(shí)間段也可指時(shí)間點(diǎn)，從句中既可用延續(xù)性動詞也可用非延續(xù)性動詞。如：
My mother was cooking when I arrived home.
When I was visiting London, I liked to travel by bus.
while引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句時(shí)表示“在……期間”，它強(qiáng)調(diào)主句的動作與從句的動作同時(shí)持續(xù)地進(jìn)行或主句動作是在從句動作發(fā)生期間發(fā)生的。while引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語從句中的謂語動詞必須是延續(xù)性動詞。如：
While Mary was writing a letter, the children were playing outside.
While I was playing computer games, my father called me.
(2) before和after
before引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句時(shí)表示主句的動作發(fā)生在從句動作之前， after引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句時(shí)表示主句的動作發(fā)生在從句動作之后。如：
I will give you a call before I leave New York.
You can go out for a walk after you finish your homework.
(3) until
until引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句，表示主句謂語動詞所表示的動作持續(xù)到從句謂語動詞所表示的動作發(fā)生為止。其常用結(jié)構(gòu)not ... until ... 表示“直到……才(開始)……”。如：
We waited until the rain stopped.
The boy didn’t go to bed until his mother came back.
(4) as soon as
as soon as引導(dǎo)的從句表示從句的動作一發(fā)生，主句的動作隨即發(fā)生，意為“一……就……”。如：
I will write to you as soon as I get to London.
