定語從句(1)

定義
1.在主從復合句中,對某一名詞或代詞起修飾作用的從句叫定語從句。被修飾的名詞或代詞叫先行詞,引導定語從句的詞叫關系詞。
2.關系詞分為關系代詞(that, which, who, whom, whose, as等)和關系副詞(when, where, why等)兩類。
關系代詞的用法
1.who指人,在定語從句中可以充當主語、賓語或表語。
◆Here comes the girl who wants to see you.
想見你的那個女孩過來了。(作主語)
◆Danny was a man who we rescued from the ruins.
丹尼是我們從廢墟中救出來的一個人。(作賓語)
2.whom指人,在定語從句中作賓語,可省略,也可用who代替。
◆Rose is the person (who/whom) you should care about.
羅絲是你應該關心的人。(作賓語)
3.whose可修飾人,也可修飾物,表“所屬”關系,whose在定語從句中作定語。
◆Any student whose family is too poor to go to school can get help from the government.
任何家境貧寒,上不起學的學生都可以得到政府的幫助。(whose引導定語從句作定語)
◆He lives in a room whose window faces north.
他住在一個窗子朝北的房間里。(修飾物)
4.which指事物,在定語從句中作主語、賓語或表語,作賓語時可省略。
◆China is a country which has a long history.
中國是一個具有悠久歷史的國家。(作主語)
◆The radio (which) he bought yesterday doesn’t work.
他昨天買的收音機壞了。(作賓語)
◆This is the house in which I once lived.
這是我曾經(jīng)住過的房子。(作介詞in的賓語)
5.that即可指人,也可指物,在定語從句中作主語、賓語或表語,作賓語時可省略。習慣上指人多用who,whom,指物多用that。
◆This is the novel that interests me.
這就是讓我感興趣的那本小說。(指物,作主語)
◆The magazine(that) I bought yesterday is lost.
我昨天買的那本雜志丟了。(指物,作賓語)
只能用that而不用which引導定語從句的情況
1.先行詞被序數(shù)詞或形容詞最高級修飾時。
◆The first place that they visited in London was the Big Ben.
他們在倫敦參觀的第一個地方是大本鐘。
◆This is the most delicious food that I have ever had.
這是我吃過的最美味的食品。
2.先行詞是不定代詞,如all, little, few, much, everything, anything, nothing, none等時。
◆Have you taken down everything that Mr. Li said?
李老師講的你都記下來了嗎?
◆All that can be done has been done.
所有能做的都做了。
3.先行詞被all, every, no, the only, the very, the last等修飾時。
◆I’ve read all the books that are not mine.
我已經(jīng)讀了所有那些不是我的書。

文體感知
與人際關系、友誼相關的文章的體裁以議論文為主。議論文的寫作是就某一方面的問題通過擺事實、講道理的方式來發(fā)表自己的看法。一般說來,議論文由論點、論據(jù)、論證三部分構(gòu)成,通常按提出問題、分析問題、解決問題的邏輯順序來安排寫作。
