1. as...as...和……一樣, 原級比較

(教材P8)Today, the caves are just as international as they were at the time when people travelled the Silk Road.

今天的莫高窟和絲綢之路時代的莫高窟一樣國際化。

(1)as+adj.+as ……和……一樣

(2)as+adj.+a/an+n.+as...其中的形容詞只能是原級。

①As a matter of fact, mental health is as important as physical health.

事實上,精神健康和身體健康一樣重要。

②The young man hopes to live as simple a life as his grandpa.

這個年輕人希望和他爺爺一樣過儉樸的生活。

2. neither...nor... 既不……也不……

(教材P9)Neither people nor buildings last forever, but Chen Lei’s photos can help us remember them.人與建筑都不是永恒的,但是陳磊的照片可以幫助我們記住他們。

句中Neither...nor...意為“既不……也不……”,連接的是句子的兩個主語,句子的謂語動詞與nor后面的主語在人稱和數(shù)上保持一致。這就是主謂一致中的“就近一致原則”。遵循“就近一致原則”的結(jié)構(gòu)有:

(1)not...but... 不是……而是……

(2)not only...but also... 不但……而且……

(3)either...or...或者……或者……

①Neither he nor his parents are going to have a picnic tomorrow.

明天他和他的父母都不會去野餐。

②Either I or they are responsible for the result of the matter.

不是我就是他們要對那件事的結(jié)果負(fù)責(zé)。
