once upon a time意為“從前;很久以前”,相當(dāng)于long long ago,用于故事的開頭。如:
Once upon a time there was a village.
=Long long ago there was a village.從前有一個(gè)村莊。
2.She decided to go for a walk in the park with her basket.她決定提著籃子去公園里散步。
decide是動(dòng)詞,意為“決定”,后接動(dòng)詞不定式作賓語,
即decide to do sth.(決定做某事)。如:
They decide(d) to finish the work on time.他們決定按時(shí)完成工作。
3.All alone in the dark,dark forest,Goldilocks picked some flowers.金鳳花姑娘獨(dú)自一人走在漆黑的森林里,摘了些花。
(1)all alone是固定搭配,意為“獨(dú)自一人的”,其中,alone是形容詞,意為“單獨(dú)的;獨(dú)自的”。如:
He was (all)alone.他單獨(dú)一個(gè)人。
4.Then she noticed a little house,so she hurried towards it,and knocked on the door.接著她注意到一幢小房子,于是她趕快朝它走去,敲了敲門。
(1)notice是動(dòng)詞,意為“注意到”。如:
I didn’t notice her when she ran past me.當(dāng)她從我身邊跑過去的時(shí)候我沒注意到她。

(2)knock是動(dòng)詞,意為“敲”,表示“敲門”用knock on/at the door。如:
He knocked on/at the door before going in.他進(jìn)去前先敲了敲門。
Language points
1. decide to do 決定做某事
e.g. I decided to make friends with him.
decide not to do 決定不做某事
She decided not to play with Dave.
2. be lost 迷路
e.g. The boy was lost and his parents looked for him everywhere.
3. look around 環(huán)顧四周
e.g. The boy looked around, but he didn’t see anybody.
4. hurry to 匆匆忙忙去…… = go to…in a hurry
e.g. Li Ming hurried to the room with no word.
=Li Ming went to the room in a hurrywith no word.
5. knock on / at 敲……
e.g. Don’t knock on the table. It’s impolite.
6. maybe 可能
可以和may 替換, 但maybe常用于句首, 而may be常用于句中。
e.g. Maybe he is at home.
= He may be at home.
