1.all of a sudden 突然
常在句中作狀語, 說明某一動作發(fā)生時的情況相當于suddenly.
e.g.All of a sudden, right after the summer, She gets married.
2.go down 倒下
e.g.Their aircraft went down during a training exercise.
3.so, that 如此;以至于
so 為副詞, 后面可接形容詞或副詞,that 為連詞, 后接結果狀語從句。與so,that , 類似的結構為:such , that 。二者意思相同, 不同的是such 后面接名詞。
so, that , 引導結果狀語從句, 可以與too , to , 或“ not+ 形容+enough to do sth. ”作同義句轉換。
【拓展】
(1)so 后面也可以接名詞, 但應該有many,much,few,little 等表示量的形容詞對名詞加以修飾, 這時句式結構為:
① so many/few+ 可數名詞復數+that 從句
② so much/little+ 不可數名詞+that 從句
e.g.My garden was covered with so many butterflies that I could hardly see the flowers.
e.g.These are so much water that I can,t through it.
(2)so , that 句式在修飾可數名詞單數時還可以用在下面的句式中:
so+形容詞+a/an+ 可數名詞單數+that 從句。
e.g.So beautiful a girl that I like her very much.
